About us

Once rescued, at a minimum, we provide each animal entering our adoption program a full veterinary exam, inoculations, neutering, testing for disease and parasites, and microchip. In many cases, more extensive health care is provided due to illness, injury, or neglect.

A Caring Place provides this high level of veterinary care because many of the animals we rescue have never had veterinary care or are in poor condition. Because we are not funded by any corporate or governmental source, the only way to pay our vet bills is through charging an adoption fee and through receipt of private donations.

Our adoption fees only cover a portion of our veterinary expenses so we always need donations from the public, our adopters, and volunteers to help cover these expenses.
