VETERINARY CARE PROVIDED FOR CATS AND KITTENS

It is the goal of this humane society to offer all animals an opportunity for adoption including those infected with disease and the elderly. Appropriate precautions will be made, per the advice and recommendations of veterinarians when disease or illness is present.

All cats will receive the following medical care and treatment upon entry of the admissions system (age permitting):

  • Health examination by a licensed veterinarian
  • Tested for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus and Feline Leukemia Virus
  • Flea treatment or prevention 
  • Worming
  • Rabies inoculation
  • Distemper combination inoculation 
  • Sterilization [spay/neuter]
  • Microchip
  • Teeth cleaning as necessary, and
  • Any medical care or treatment warranted.

We will not declaw any cats and will educate the public about the realities of declawing. We also inform the public about the dangers of allowing cats outdoors.
